Hi all,
Long shot I know.
Wanted kouba lowering link for Crf250l.
Has anyone got one or know of the best place to get one in the uk.
Only place I can find is Rally Raid and they take 4-6 weeks delivery.
Also seat concepts low seat. Again us suppliers only.
Many thanks

Hi Gary.
Not overly keen on that method.
Plenty of good reports on the kouba links for the crf.
More expensive but looks well made.
Cheers!

Hi Gary.
How much did it lower the bike for you?
I'm no mechanic and wouldn't trust myself not to screw it up!

this is the link
http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/h ... ee.819032/

it is really easy to get the rear shock out,.. the drilling has to be done carefully .. better with a pillar drill I expect. easy to put back in. not too bad at all in fact.

using 3/4" c/c makes the rear of the bike drop about 3".
dropping the tree clamps drops the front an inch.
the seat seems to be about 2" dropped overall?
the rake and trail are lengthened but the ride actually feels better.
the bike handles and rides fine
[for me at 30inch inseam.]
does not bottom out at easy trail speeds,
but loses some bottom clearance ( lowering link does this anyway)
overall I would recommend.

can be put back to standard.

Many thanks for the information. I will definitely give it some thought and good to know that you get on with it well and the bike handles ok.
I know it's not ideal lowering the bike at all but for my wife to be more confident, I'm sure it is the way to go.
Cheers
