Scotland is a nice place to ride but it has one simple drawback for me. I can be in the Alps in the same time as it takes me to get to the highlands.

Although a valid point Mike, the Highlands have a special beauty.....in the Alps it's only your wallet that gets bled dry :laugh:Mike101 wrote:Scotland is a nice place to ride but it has one simple drawback for me. I can be in the Alps in the same time as it takes me to get to the highlands.

Going to the Highlands for me is slightly masochistic, rather than looking forward to going, I'm usually looking forward to reminiscing, in front of the fire.
The last time I wild camped up there it rained continuously for 5 days (which did keep the midgies down a bit) but made for a feckin miserable trip
All these pictures of sunny days is making me quite jealous
With enough profanity, you can accomplish anything
