Hi Frank really busy prepping the Tenere, really like it but that does,nt mean I can't try the new crf rally when it comes out John, that's a shame. I think they are Canadian in case you have any relatives in Canada. Anyway you will be able to make some like mine, pretty easy. If you want to lower your CRF250L
drill 10mm at a pitch of 12mm
this will lower it 50mm's.
You can dial the rear spring to the softest.
Our lady handels it perfectly.

Be carefull wenn you pitch 3/4" - 19mm you get i kind of a low rider i.m.o.

most lowering links gets yoo about an inch or so
not enough for me, by a long way.
this mod does a useful amount and alters the geometry too .. for the better imo.
rides nicely now on tarmac, and on easy trails too

19mm or 3/4 ", is the max measurement so that no more cutting is required (to the shock lower bracket) and does not seem to interfere with the bottoming out thing.

ps .. you can see that the lower shock bracket is now nearly touching the link thing.
.. but works well.

19mm leaves enough metal (9mm) between the holes to return to the original position if you chose.
A 12mm gap will only leave 2mm of metal between the holes.
I don't think I'd be happy to return the bike to full height like that.
