The problems at National level on show again on the TRF forum with yet another rude and disrespectful post by the "technical director" aimed at a long serving member.
An "ordinary" member posting that sort of insult would be banned.
I didn't get on with the Northumbrian trf, that was down to me I suppose, I think it's a well run group with a great bunch of guys, and it going from strength to strength,
I do no a lot of the lanes and you can't beat your own company,,,,for me anyway

Not fit to hold the position.
Do you mean JV comments towards M ? If yes I thought that was appalling and I'm tempted to comment. What a vile little tw&t. Problem is it will probably just get deleted!

Yes, that was the post and yes it was removed.
Your description of the author is both apt and restrained!

As per normal the comment has been removed and the thread locked so I can't post I do have a screen shot of it though. I used to like the author and he has done a lot for the TRF but I'm afraid behaving like that is unacceptable. I've heard others mention similar issues as well.
You folks see only the tip of the iceberg, trust me when I tell you that what floats below the surface would be repulsive to anybody who wants democracy.
If you and others wish to bring about change then it is vital that you attend the AGM or that you complete and record a Proxy Vote.
It is a simple numerical exercise at this late stage.
If folk are happy to let the situation continue then they can either do nothing or vote to support the current Director/s, alternatively you can make a stand and vote against. I shall be attending the AGM on behalf of the Manchester Group, the vast majority of whom want change and respect so have named me as their Proxy Vote holder.
I have attached a copy of the Proxy Vote file which has my details on, you are welcome to use it or not as you see fit. Simply complete one copy with your name, address, TRF membership number, cross out the option NO, sign and date, then send it off to the address at the bottom of the instructions. Leave the resolutions section blank.
Why am I telling you this here, simply because many of my Posts and questions to the Directors are summarily removed from the TRF Forum.
Thank you for your question, the simple answer is YES I may represent folk other than just those who are members of the Manchester Group.
I understand that quite a number of folk nationally have completed their forms nominating that I represent them.
However, an important point is that folk do have to be a current paid up Member of the TRF to be eligible to vote. Discussion has taken place as to whether those in a 'period of grace' may vote, my understanding is that they may not.
As I am new on here some of you may not know that I represent the Manchester TRF Group and Manchester 17 MCC in respect of rights of way issues, I am Vice Chairman of PDVUG, I attend meetings with DCC and the PDNPA, I have given evidence at Public Inquiries and I actively take part in and lead rides on behalf of the Manchester TRF.
