Tutoro chain oiler

Post by PaulinBont »

Bought a Scottoiler for the CCM as I've always fitted them to my bikes, unfortunately it wouldn't work on the GP450 according to Pete and the guys who built my bike, not a problem as M&P gave me a full refund.

Had a chat with the guy from Scottoiler at the bike show who explained that the vacuum design doesn't work on every engine out there and he suggested I get a Tutoro oiler instead.

Nice spin out to the Forest of Dean where Nick, the owner of Tutoro did a first class job fitting one for me, he's a very nice guy as well so I'm very pleased.

He came up with the idea and designed it himself, an example of small-scale British businesses that deserve our support.

Highly recommended and his wife makes a lovely cuppa (thumbs)

Hi,
I've just bought a Tutoro system for my GP450. Could you either post some photos of the installation or email me some (PM me for my email address).
It would be good to see an installation by the designer of the system.

Hello David,

Nick took some photos as he was doing the installation, if you either ring or email him I'm sure he'll forward them to you.
He did a lot of experimenting to see which location and routing works best on the CCM. I'm very pleased with the result to be fair.

Lighter, louder, lower than the F800GS Bob, not as great a road presence, wouldn't contemplate taking it for long distances on the motorway. Love it (thumbs)

+1 on the Tutoro.

Got one fitted on the KTM990 Adventure. Did 15k miles this year in temperatures ranging from zero to forty-five degrees, through lots of dusty trails, rivers and mud, and only adjusted the chain once.

Initially had to faff about a bit to get the feed rate right, but once done it works really well (thumbs)

Another user here! A great product; no messing about with vacuum pipes or electronics, just find a mounting point and plumb in the silicon pipe.

I did not have space to mount it at the back because of luggage racks etc so mounted to the front and feeding onto the front sprocket, as per the trials bike in the video on their website.

Link doesn't work for me. Tablet connects to the site but I just get a blank screen.

Edit: tried again and it worked!!!

The location in the pictures looks a bit vulnerable, especially in a fall.
