Agnellotreffen 2017

Post by Bionic Billy Nav »

Hi all, Has anyone done or doing the 2017 Agnellotreffen in Italy? I'm going to do it for the 1st time and just wondered if anyone had any advice? I've previously done both Elephant Rallies so have some experience of Winter Treffs, thankyou.

I've never done it but I'd certainly be interested in doing it. I'll have a dig around, contact some German guys I know who do at least one winter rally every year and ask what the score is.

Hi Andy thankyou, yeah it's a fairly new Wintertreff being the 4th edition in 2017, but it looks like a beautiful location, and 1500 bikers went last year so looks popular.

Well it's 750 miles or thereabouts from the Hook of Holland so two days on an outfit taking it fairly steadily. Normally I'd leave Tuesday night to go to the Elefant, do about 450 miles on the Wednesday, 150 on the Thursday and be set up before dark but the extra miles might make this one a case of two overnight stops on the way down then leave Sunday at about 9am and make it back for a Monday night ferry from the Hook.

I'm very tempted and they give you until the end of December to pre-register.

Yes it very tempting lol. I know a guy I met at this years Elefantentreffen that is coming down from Yorkshire via tunnel then through France, A guy called Andy G has done many winterfreffs on a C90 but this year was on a Honda Transalp outfit. But yeah looks like a great wintertreff, I'm heading through Germany down to Basel-Bern-Mont Blanc-Turin. Let me know if you go and I'll look out for you

That's vaguely one of the toll free options I get or another one is via Luxembourg and onwards heading south past Nancy and Besancon.

I'd sooner avoid the Mont Blanc tunnel but at least that way you avoid some of the high passes that might be closed over winter. The more I look the more tempted I get (thumbs)

I can't plan anything with any degree of certainty until about a week before but if I'm off work I'll probably be going.
