shame aabout the tickover ..ive had chance to do a few hundred miles now and had no issues with the lower tickover at all
tbo its runs so well im just going to leave it on the basis is if it aint broke dont fix it
but my goodness does it motor now :blink: ..it pulls like a train ..ive had chance to take it out and really really try it out some drying roads and decent space to work in ..the fueling low down is perfect snatch gone ..crisp blips down the box and just unrelenting pull over 4500 revs you can hear the iduction roar go very loud and then it just fecks off and produces a very large smile ... its absalutly ace dead entertaing
i didnt realize quite how much stronger it was up top but my word it shifts ..and im not out of touch with fast bikes either ..its no R1of course but for a 450 duel purposebike its very impressive

all in all everything seems sweet as a nut .

Having repositioned my PCV to the same place as Tony's I have now had a go at mine. The front page of the PCV software looked different to that shown by Tony (no idea why), but I've gone through the reset TPS procedure anyway.

My lower reading is now 0.625v and upper is 3.919v perhaps a call to Dynojet is in order to see if this right (and to ask about the difference in how the software looks on my pc)
There is no noticeable difference in the slow running between cold engine and warm engine. I have tried to slow the slow running but if I drop it any lower than 1800rpm it hunts and will stall. A bit disappointed that I couldn't lower it, but nevermind. Anybody else had a go and what are your readings?

My figures were way off as I was spliced into the 2nd throttle PS .... Doh!
All sorted now and it reads 0.695 and 3.940 so pretty well in line with yours. Odd thing is the bike seemed happy on the wrong TPS

What version is your software? Under Help, About, my software is Power Commander V - Control Centre Software - Version 1.0.6.4

Yep, same version. I'm running windows 8.1 so maybe it's that that's making it look different. However, as the figures are similar to yours, I'll not worry too much.
Once I've run it around a bit, I'll have another go with the slow running using the computer to check the speed.

No problem. Its always good to be able to give some info as well as take it
I am running Win 10 on all my boxes now so maybe that explains the difference.
Had a good run out today testing the correct TPS feed and setting plus another little mod I'm playing with (watch this space)
Getting a tad cold here at 10C but it was good to be out in the mountains. We have just had a spell of seasonal wet weather with 6 inches of rain in two days (our river rose by 3m!) Hopefully a long cold dry spell with lots of chances to get into the forests in December
Must say I love the way the bike behaves with the PCV especially in the low and mid range.

What do you guys recommend for chain lube, until getting my gp450 apart from an Enfield i had for a very short time, all my bikes have been shaft drive for the last ten years? cheers, Jez

I certainly use one and am more than happy.
The system does not need a vacuum take off like the scottoiler and uses engine vibes to deliver the oil and shuts off when the bike is not running.

Thanks Tony, a bit high tech for me, i have been riding Urals and Dneprs for last 10 years lol, I'm very low tech!
Just wondering which product to use on the chain, too much choice!

I bought my last Dnepr outfit from Dave at F2 which he had put on eBay, it was one he had taken in part exchange against a new Ural, he is a very nice bloke, very helpful
