Shame really cos there's some fantastic scenery / roads to be done there.

Just submitted a story on my trip to Norway this June
It is worth the effort ... just find a few ways to watch the pennies

If you have pannier space, bring some food.

A YHA Hostel card is pretty useful for discounts, it works in Norway as well.
Even got 10% off camping rations from Cotswolds in the UK, a nice surprise.

The "big" ferries are cheaper booked in advance. (e.g. norway > denmark or norway > germany etc).

For the smaller ferries (short rides across the fjords), the fee stays the same so just turn up.

Had a shock at a bike shop in Kristiansand - my bike's 12V cigarette lighter charger had broken and the guy offered a new one for the equivalent of £33 ?!
It's usually £2 on ebay.

We stayed at a few B&Bs which had amazing breakfasts, buffet of really fresh fish, dark breads, ham, cheese. Packed a few lunches on the sly, which helped save some pennies

I found that one during my many hours of research - There is a lot of info out there

Small ferry rides were almost all 50NOK
We only paid toll two times - ~25NOK or so ... can't recall exactly

I also had some bike trouble - had to ship parts over ... could not get them there

took 21 hours to leave UK and go to Germany (where is sat for 20 hours or so)
then on to Belgium then Sweden then on to Oslo and then about 300km to where I sat waiting

Should have stuck a stamp on it and saved £85 !!
