Who do you want to make the rules we live by?
Principally by our elected members of Parliament and then secondly I was happy to live within rules set by all elected members of the European Community we were part of. We've voted to leave so we can revert to letting our own Parliament set the rules then abide by EU rules without any representation if we want to have decent trading terms with them.
Now I know that some will say we don't have to abide by their rules but I think we will do if we want to sell them products made here. They'll also set the rules we have to abide by if we want to visit their countries but that won't matter to the majority of so called adventure riders that never ride out of their own country. I don't give a shit about sovereignty because it's a load of crap unless we want to withdraw into our own tiny little World and kid ourselves that we're sticking one over big brother in the EU.
The funniest part is that we're still paying the same amount into the EU but they're excluding us from any decision making :pinch:
Trouble is, Andy, the EU goes well beyond just trading rules (which I have no trouble with). It's morphed in to something more dictatorial.
Precisely mate it morphed into a lot more and continues to do so, but now has a head of steam it cannot control, look at the Merkel debarcle.
Trading between the EU and the UK no problem, if they want to sell us their good fine and if they want to buy our good fine and yes our manufacturers will have to abide by their rules just like they have to do with any other country, so what's the problem there ? they will have to abide by our rules as well.
Yes we are still paying our contribution personally the moment the "B" button is pressed I think that should cease, but at present WE ARE STILL MEMBERS OF THE EU WITH ALL IT'S OBLIGATIONS. Do not people realise that ?
They will miss our massive contributions and Germany and the like will have to pick up the slack or invite many more countries to join or you just never know they may just actually get their shit together and sort themselves out for a better EU for the members of the EU. But I doubt that it may very well break up into the northern members becoming what it should of been in the first place a group of northern industrial countries trading and working together.
There is lots of change over their but will the old guard listen doubtful very doubt for
Cheers Spud
