^...I think it's being a bit pedantic to say that the use of 'IN' or 'OUT' in this context is shouting  . Clearly that wasn't the intention...but you probably already knew that.

As for wasting a few hours of my time going through your 8,000+ posts then I think I'll pass on that offer...but thanks anyway.

I'm glad we voted 'OUT' (thumbs) .

Are you on a mission to post that phrase 8000 times?

So the USA, Russia and the EU are going to be major players militarily and economically.
Don't worry, we'll have our Reservists relying on their self-purchased boots and unreliable equipment - all paid for by our exports of Pringle jumpers and socks.
I feel safer already.

Juncker proposes EU military headquarters. The European Union needs a military headquarters to work towards a common military force, the Commission president has told MEPs in Strasbourg.

I'm glad we voted 'OUT'.
I for one hope it comes off, will be useful to have something between us and Putin, we can't rely on the good old English Channel next time or the Yanks if madman trump gets in
No EU army is going to stand up to Putin if he really wanted to make a mess. Europe has scaled back it's forces left right and centre in the belief we live in a safe world. US is the only country that can do it.

If Trump gets in we will have a wordwide crisis of some sort about something.

why does everyone worry about putin? Russia shows no aggression. its actions in the ukraine and crimea are purly defensive in a region that has always been part of russia ,caused by the eu and usa playing poke the bear.in fact Kiev was the capital of russia during the 15th century. It seems to me that a great deal of money is to be made from war mongering and instability and you need to look to the west for the cause of much of it,too many profitable fingers influencing too many pies.

Don't need to worry about Scotland then, if they get independence we'll just invade and take it back, because what the hell, the Forth and the Clyde are useful so that's just a defensive move, and was once part of the UK anyway so it can't be counted as aggression.

As for the rest of Ukraine and the other 13 ex USSR states, if Russia invades those it's just a defensive move and taking back what is rightfully theirs, right?

In fact why don't we just invade all the countries in the Commonweath and take back our empire? We wouldn't need the EU then.

The French and the Spanish could do the same. In fact the Spanish should just roll the tanks into Gibraltar tomorrow.

I dont recall anyone in the ukraine having a vote in fact the only vote was by crimea to go back to being russian after it was given away by the ukrainian born krushchev as a present to the ukraine.Whats happening there thier affair and not for us to stick our noses in. Many in England would probably be happy to see scotland gone if only to stop the whining, unfortunately the did have a vote and wanted to stay.
Any way this all has little to do with brexit nor does putin.

^...my understanding is that the old USSR gave Crimea to Ukraine which wasn't an issue with anyone concerned until Ukraine became independent in the '90s. The majority of Crimea had always considered itself to be 'Russian' but found itself 'Ukranian' after the break-up of the USSR and they didn't like it.

What's a vote got to do with it? Russia took control of another countries sovereign territory.

That it used to be part of the USSR is not a valid excuse.

Still doesn't justify Russia taking it back by military force. That decision instead of seeking a diplomatic solution is why people are worried about Putin.

Whether Ukraine would have given Crimea a referendum is another question. The vote that did take place after the event was just an attempt to justify an illegal action.
