If the reg/rec is allowing the alternator to over charge the battery you'll usually be able to smell what appears to be rotten eggs as it does it. If you didn't get that smell it'll be something draining the battery rather than the bike over charging it and wrecking it that way. If it went flat when you were riding then it'll be recoverable but the charging system will need checking.

I've flattened the battery on my KTM by leaving the satnav in the cradle for a couple of weeks because even when it's switched off it still draws a small enough amount of power to drain the battery. It wouldn't have happened if the dealer had wired it to a switched live rather than directly to the battery even after being asked not to.

Thanks guys, the AA , chap told me to take it into my dealership so they can check the electrical system , as the AA s , equipment , cannot access the Honda computer . So why do Honda , not let the AA ,use their system after all they appointed them ?

Didn`t have a problem with the battery going flat on the S10 but supplying dealer wired the cradle live and I have heard of that draining the battery even without sat nav in cradle, I had it wired "properly" by Alf England at last service (thumbs)
Surely Al the bike is under warranty and it`s up to dealer to sort out?

Because they may switch cover to the RAC next year & it's Honda 's intellectual property

Why would Honda Japan want the AA accessing it?

Their job is to recover you to their approved Honda main dealer only

yeah, Honda effort to promote this bike was almost as good as BWM ads...and it's working!

Suzuki certainly spend some cash advertising on BT Sport whenever bike racing is on so they can't really be accused of not trying. Apart from that it seems the only place you'll see advertising for motorbikes is in motorbike targeted media which probably attracts a lower number of new riders than IS get recruits from UK mosques.

I was talking to the Wigan Kawasaki dealers last week about picking up a used bike and their saleman stated they are getting lots of tyre kickers but not much in sales.So I suppose its the low economy thats affecting the sales at the moment as bikes are seen as a luxury.
