Advise needed re appropriate small trails bike 4 green laneing

Hi, I'm wanting to get a small light weight trails bike for green laneing, with a view of developing skills to eventually do the taffy Dakar. Would like advise on bike.
Firstly I'm only 5"2, very short legs with virtually no off road experience. So need small capacity light weight machine that won't need a lot of spannering, cos I'm not the tinkering type. Was thinking paying about £1500. Don't want anything too old as like I said, I don't do tinkering. Any advise would be welcome.

Take a look at the Beta Alp 200. I think there a nice used one fleabay at the moment. Ideal bike for people who are a little shorter and maintenance friendly as well. There's also the CRF 230

Bob is right...the [strike]Serow[/strike]...MIGHTY Serow is a great bike.
I have recently had to sell two of mine...but I have one that I am currently doing up to "hardcore adventure standard"
Unfortunately I have to finish a film first, but if you haven't secured one...there will be a decent one available in about 3 months....if you look at episode1- you will see it in the background- & see a picture of the previous ones I was forced to sell.. I was gutted!
