The Honda Africa twin 1000 , warts and all.

I'd say it handles much better than the ten, I'm guessing mainly due to the 28 rear rather than the 17.

I can say ,the only 2points I don't like so far,no1, you've got too keep your eyes on the speedo ,unless you want to loose your licence,.no2 I think the Honda pannier lids are quite flimsy ,I have cut aluminium panels to silicon inside the panels to stiffen them up.. that's All. (thumbs) Al

This problem was predicted by many , low fenders and sticky mud don't mix .

That's a rider error rather than a bike fault. If it hadn't snapped off it could have locked the front wheel and had him off, resulting in the potential of much more serious damage. (thumbs)

So, you can't take the AT in mud - without the front mudguard snapping off?

Does it happen to the Tenere 660 also ?

One old one new, the old one cost me £7300 in 1993. The new one £10,450 2016. Now what's the best value. My both bikes are the same colour (thumbs) as pic
