Probably a stitch up from BMW or KTM trying to "diss" the competition.

Conspiracy Theory anyone:evil:

Being serious for a minute, it does look odd, as if it has just been disassembled.

There is nothing new in the design there so it must be assembly? Retaining bracket at the wrong angle or a splayed arm allowing the nipple to jump free?
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.

Herman should be banned for saying 'allowing the nipple to jump free? '

Surely that's against decency laws

Cos a cable is simpler, and simpler to fix away from dealer support (thumbs)

exactly. same with throttle by wire. AT is very well thought through adventure bike,
you don't want to deal in the middle of nowhere with electronic suspension, hydraulic clutch
or other "goodies".

IMO new IT is the best looking and the most practical adventure bike on the market.

I test rode the AT today with only 6 miles on the clock. I was most impressed with it.

It is obvious that this isn't Al's bike, unless somebody else wrote the text for him ;-)

Agree with Rlkat that it should've been picked up on PDI though, whoever the dealer was.

Yeah I thought you would say that, glad my exc has hydraulic though for one finger operation, even with arm pump! Horses for courses I guess. Nige.
