Wanted - Rotopax or similar
Re: Wanted - Rotopax or similar
About the same money Mike but they're the only ones that do the nifty mounting plate... Check your emails...
Re: Wanted - Rotopax or similar
thanks Jim, does look good. So that entire plate attaches to the rack? How does the bag attach? Im assuming similar mount to the rotopax?
That mount no good for me though. Ill have the wolfmans on either rack and the rotopax and dry bag strapped to the rear rack.

Yep, plate onto rack & 2 no straps through the plate cutouts to secure the bag..beddowsm wrote:thanks Jim, does look good. So that entire plate attaches to the rack? How does the bag attach? Im assuming similar mount to the rotopax?

Look at winding roads website they do a setup that fixes the roto to your rack & the bag goes over the top freeing up your rear rack....
Re: Wanted - Rotopax or similar
just looked on winding roads, yes good idea. But I recon the wolfmans stick out enough without the added 3" of the rotopax. Think Id prefer it mounted on the rear rack and rollbag secured to this as well.
Or maybe I just stick with my old Giant Loop coyote and attach the rotopax to the side? Think I need to have a play with luggage.

Re: Wanted - Rotopax or similar
I have a 5L Dromedary bag. Basically a strong bladder that holds 5L water. But this has been tested extensively on ADV rider to hold fuel (not legal to store fuel in them though!). So that's what Ive used on previous trips and its been OK. But its not the best to strap / secure to a bike. So I want something better.zimtim wrote:If space is an issue what about something along these lines

Re: Wanted - Rotopax or similar
I'm just about to buy these rather than rotopax for a trip from Gabe at zen overland, I've seen them in the flesh and they look well made and robust.

Ask Gabe to fill one and demonstrate poring fuel from it without covering everything in fuel, ive a 2ltr as emergency fuel holder...its a right painand not buying a spout either...2lrs does me about 30mls..
And ive only a 13ltr tank...
