Buy one, far less hassle.
But I do like the screen protector idea!

This is a great idea. As for reselling, better to advertise on here and Horizons rather than eBay.

I know people are saying "by one" I'm only going to be in the country a few hours. I'm going to try and plan a route that doesn't involve motorways. Feel a bit aggrieved having to spend nearly £35 just for the privilege of driving on their motorways. I'm going to take the scenic route (hopefully)

I was in the same boat last year: I whizzed through in under 4 hours, but still bought one. I met a guy in Italy the day after who spent 2 weeks there and didn't bother, never got stopped, he said he never considered it.

Still, looks great on the screen, makes me look like an adventurer (thumbs)

The Swiss bikers tend to put them is hard to get at places to stop them being stolen, but non of the ones I know seem to have had one stolen so I'd not bother.
We put ours on a square of clear vinyl then when we got home sent them to our Swiss friend to use, they have to have a separate one for trailers and caravans apparently.

I bought two separately last year on UKGSER, paid about £20 each. It ensured we didn't need them obviously

Put it in a old tax disc holder, secure and you don't need to stick it to anything. Reusable ... :) :) :)

In 2015 we ended up on a Swiss motorway in error but didn't have the Vignette. We never saw any traffic Police so I guess we were lucky.

I also remember that it was very busy on the other roads. We were somewhere near Lake Konstanz and the traffic was slow with a capital 'S'... :( . It was very pretty though :) .

I went over the border at a minor crossing into Switzerland just before Christmas.

There were a lot of police types kicking about so I bought one. They were happy with 40 Euro or 40 CHF ( I had no CHF) but felt a little miffed at having to buy it.

On reflection the roads were great and it's no different than the tolls I had just paid to travel through France.

Got stopped at the motorway border without one, the guy had a good look around my bike, smiled, and waved me off! Maybe I got lucky, but it shows they will look for one.
