Yes off to look at the 1290 GT, i have had my smt for 5 years now.....but at 16 grand I aint gonna be trading up anytime soon methinks.

Just heads up for folks that are looking for a new helmet , they are selling the new Shoei Adventure helmet there at the NEC show for £250 for the plain colours and £300 for the graphics version , that is a big price drop from what they were selling them few weeks back
( 470 for the graphics version the last time i have checked ) .

One thing that was very noticeable was the lack of people looking at the 450 CCM compared to previous years. It may have been because they had a big stand with very little on it so punters weren't all crammed together but we went 3 times for various reasons and it seemed very quiet each time.

They were also offering to throw in a full soft luggage & frames package if my wife ordered the bike and paid a deposit yesterday but she changed her mind at the last minute for various reasons.

I think if I were buying a new bike right now, my heart would tell me to go for the CCM because that fits my riding needs perfectly. But my head would tell me to go bigger for less hassle. I want a CCM!!!!

One big difference between the Honda stand and the CCM one is that the people manning the CCM stand ride the bikes and know what they're talking about whereas Honda (and other more mainstream manufacturers) are given set answers to questions before the show even starts so you can get anything they'll tell you directly from their websites.

Every time I look at the CCM I think it's a good bike and though it's not really what I want for myself I was hoping my wife would persuade herself she needed one so I could use it more than she would (thumbs)

Its going to have competition in its sector soon so a price drop is a good thing, as is free luggage as their extras are overpriced IMO.

I wonder if you put the CCM on the Honda stand whether their order book would be full by the end of the day?

If you called it a rally raid or overland special it'd sell before anyone had even seen the full specs let alone seen it in a showroom.

Helmet city ?

Sorry i cannot remember which seller was it , crap i knew i should have bought one , now i have looked online and i cannot find anyone offering deal good as this for this lid .
Can anyone who is going to NEC try to find out which seller sells them so cheap please ?

Lids Direct were offering the multi coloured ADVs for £315,Helmet City were asking £380.
