Craig I kept looking at the mudguard thinking , 'is it, isn't it' Came to the conclusion it was vinyl, didn't have a clue it was painted.
Brilliant :)

The rear is a Mefo Stonemaster from Zen Overland very aggressive looking for a road tyre, but it gives me loads more confidence offroad than the K60 I used to have.

Thanks Tyrant, its a neat little trick that I originally saw on RC car body's and has now been adapted and perfected by pro airbrush painters, they get it looking real with a few different shades. Mine has mistakes in it but the decals hide most of them. :woohoo:

Glad you like it mate. ;) I'm toying with the idea of trading my bike for something more offroad orientated and the 640 is looking like a real contender at the moment.

Can the 640 wheelie using throttle only? That's my biggest bug bear with the Africa twin.

with a full tank of fuel its a bit top/front heavy. but with less fuel its obviously a lot lot better. easy get the front up 2-3 gear ( with a bit of practice ). can be a bit sore on the arse when travelling on the motorway but i suppose any bike like this would be.people complain about the vibes, but again what do you expect from a single. they defo have character/major grin factor/posing factor ( sorry ;) ) i travelled down to italy through france/belgium/holland/germany/austria/italy with no problems at all. only on the way back it blew the base gasket in reims and had to get it repatriated and i flew home ( a long story ) but apart from that its been spot on. i honestly dont get out on it as much as i want too at the moment ( broke my collar bone 12 months ago and its still playing up, and suffering with kidney stones now ) but its one bike i would never sell. its got a full titanium akra on it and that makes it a hell of a lot more responsive. i saw somone was selling one on here the other day. looks a nice bike. so now i gotta start saving up to get it "REPSOLD" up......Cheers Matt.
