Election
Re: Election
For many years the Scottish vote has propped up the Labour party and provided members of the cabinet in disproportionate numbers to the size of their vote. You would have thought Scotland would have been well catered for under Labour.AndyB wrote: the Tories become near enough impossible to beat.
By my calcs if the SNP did not exist, Labour would still not have won but it would have been a lot closer. Labour are back in the wilderness of the '80's again.
What did strike me is that all the parties have more of a socialist leaning apart from the Tories (and the somewhat now irrelevant UKIP), yet the Tories get in. Come on socialists, unite under one banner :cheer: You could see Cameron crap his pants when the SNP said they would do anything to keep the tories out
Anyway, bikes... I get my new 800GSA in a couple of weeks (thumbs)
Re: Election
The 800GSA is.....as is most of the BMW range a Tory bike.
You have to feel sorry for Triumph owners.....over 12% of bikes purchased are Triumphs but only one (Speed Triple) makes it into the top seller's list.

Re: Election
Nick Clegg has just resigned, probably Milliband as well later.
Cameron's only got one fight now, that's Nicola Sturgeon. I don't fancy his chances at all

Re: Election
Farage has also quit as leader of UKIP.
Come on Ed, step down and let Labour try to pick themselves up off the floor.

Re: Election
Ha! Whimps.
If I quit every time I under-achieved I'd have a new job every week
I guess the overall signal from the party leaders is: if I can't beat Cameron and this Tory party then I must be no good.
I hope Cameron doesn't run away with the idea it's a vote of confidance to him or we could end up with Greek style politics of austerity (no not thick and yogerty but lots of demos).

Re: Election
One country, one party running away with it, no opposition, make Scotland independent and the Conservative party will rule unaposed for the next 30 years. That's very bad for many people in this country.
