Thanks Stewie for organising this.

Was great to catch up with so many of the Northern contingent who made the trek south.

Looking at Mr Beddows & Felco on Saturday morning it seemed that the Southern shandy drinking had taken it's toll though ;)

A special mention to my run leader Farnham Flyer & TEC Scotty (and the rest of the guys from Surrey TRF who led groups)for putting together a great route through Surrey, West Sussex & Hampshire, which took in maybe 30% of byways I don't recall having ridden before.

There were some gnarly conditions on one or 2 including Gibbets Hill and Waggoners, but our group coped really well.

I only took the one picture of the lads enjoying a picturesque (onn a brighter day) sarnie by the pond in Buriton (near Butser Hill).

Back home. What a fantastic weekend. Got to say "down south" is a long way. A mere 250 miles Friday afternoon/evening in lousy weather, in the dark with a bad wobbly rear end. Was not fun. But getting to the bunkhouse to see some familiar faces was great. Banter was good as normal and was good to meet a few new (to me) abr's.

Far too much to drink Friday night, I won't learn. I always say I'm not going to exceed my limits but always seem to. Cracking night, really enjoyed it. Saturday was a bit worse for wear but the ride around the local lanes was fantastic. Thanks to Steve, the row officer from surrey trf for leading. Really appreciate your time. He really knows his way around the lanes. Some really good fun during the day. Really enjoyed the riding.

Another 5 hours on the motorways today in driving rain and cold to get home.

Was it worth it......too bloody right.

Big thanks to Stewie for organising. These meets are the best. Great to meet the same old crowd and good to see some new southerners.

I have to admit that I was a little apprehensive about leading "Big Bikes" around on a wet Saturday in November. A few of my mates suggested that I was mad and that I'd spend all day picking up bikes and getting covered in mud.

Well, what a surprise. Minky, Horseybiker, Sexysi(NOT) and Spannerfingers made my task really easy. What a good bunch of lads with the right attitude and good skills.

Rich, sorry we broke your bike fella  Hope you managed to cobble together a reasonable enough repair to get you home.

P.S. Si, what lights have you got nailed to the front of your bike ? I fancy something like that on the Travel Tractor

Bodged it perfectly with jubilee clips, gun gum and a beer cap! Doesn't even blow!

These are lights we use.

Thanks for leading Colin, we all had a cracking time. You're welcome to join us on a Kent run anytime (thumbs)

Cheers Mate, excellent leader had an excellent time, ok the bigger bikes aren't so fast on the muddy stuff, but still great fun. Myself and Rich are mad on the lanes and will try most things on most surfaces, rivers, climbs etc. We are only an hr away so will keep on eye open on some of your rides that you guys do down there.

Here is a little review I did on the LED's
