Tapatalk images not displaying

Hi. I don't know if this is something the forum mods can fix or query with the forum software provider but I thought I'd post and see if anyone else is having trouble.

I've used tapatalk for a long time. When I first started using it images uploaded just fine and worked great. However somewhere along the line some images have stopped displaying.

Images I upload via the web forum interface appear fine in tapatalk and the web.

Images that have been attached either via a tapatalk or via a photobucket link show fine on the web but not in tapatalk.

Anyone else having this issue?

I've done some digging and found the problem.

When you use the website to upload to the forum it uploads as an attachment. This seems to work fine. However, if you upload to photobucket or use tapatalk it inserts a URL in IMG tags. Eg

IMG]photo url here[/IMG
IMG]photobucket url here[/IMG

(I've left the first square bracket off on purpose so it displays the example)

It appears the issue is that the ABR forum doesn't like uppercase IMG. If you set to lowercade img it works just fine. This does seem to be a forum thing and not an app thing because some forums work fine with upper and lower and others don't.

Not the end of the world and now I know what it is I can amend but it would be nice if it could be fixed.

Here is an example of one of my threads I tested it on.

First image displays because I use lower case.

I've had this conversation with Alun, this forum has no connection and does nothing differently with Tapatalk.

I use Tapatalk myself, the current problems for me are it's ok on my iPhone but not working on my ipad?

No idea why.

Nope. Not working here. I'm on android. Maybe there is a patch in the pipe.

That seems to work. Hope my wafflings are of some use to someone.

If you have this problem. Download the new version from play store and you get the paperclip option at the bottom which seems to work in the same way as the web interface.

Would be nice for the photobucket IMG tags to work so will post over on the tapatalk forum.
