I'm on the lookout for a new one as, mine has now started to seep water after several years hard use and don't want to spend a fortune replacing.

Thanks

Alex
I bought the RST paragon 3 suit. It's now the paragon 4 suit but the same money I think. Like the Klim stuff it also has a bonded inner so it feel thin yet is totally waterproof.

I met up with Tramp a few weekends ago in torrential rain on Salisbury plain...I was soaked on the outside but bone dry on the inside...that's in a suit with 21000 miles on it. It's got years left in it and when I need to I will buy RST.

Also if I need it repaired I send it to Derby and not abroad...I can email and call the people how make it..how good is that.

Tried Klim. Think the sizing must be big To suit Americans ? Might just be my shape, the fit was a bit baggy. Bought a Wolf Titanium suit. Big mistake on my part. The suit leaked & was replaced under warranty after 10 months. Another year on & the trousers started leaking in the gonad area. Pissed off about it.

Been looking at the Revit Poseidon & the RST Adventure 2. Mind you don't really want to shell out more £'s to RST Moto once again. The same company that import Wolf.

I think the RST Jacket is teflon coated, the Klim is Gortex laminate i would imagine the Klim is lots more breathable and temperature regulating. Hence its performance offroad.

The rst has an inner breathable removable waterproof liner, I've tested mine in some hot weather and it's pretty good tbh, haven't tried the klim stuff so can't comment on that.

I found the Klim jacket useless when it gets hot and humid . It was like riding in a bin liner I was soaked inside the jacket.

Klim are expensive because they spend so much on a R&D etc to me sure they're product is the best on the market.

But at £2000 for the adventure rally suit I would much rather spend that on petrol and stick with what I've got.

Is it the new twat suit? as in the item of clothing that the posers who ride their brand new adventure bike with every accessory available to pose in the supermarket car park with, probably.

Is it bad gear? nope
is it worth the money, that all depends on how much money you have, to most of us it probably isn't

But then look at the Klim Traverse suit, basically just a waterproof shell but not much more in terms of cost than the average riding suit. on cold days you can layer up underneath. and because it's klim then you know they have a reputation to uphold so it should be good stuff. I would consider buying this suit for adventure riding.

I agree you need to get what suits your riding. Surprised that the Klim wasnt that breathable though. I use Halverssons Graffiti Jacket and GI pants and they have removable wind, waterproof and thermal liners. Zipped vents that go from the cuff under your arm and down to your waist and exit vents on the back. If you hold the jacket up to the light you can see the Hi Art breathable parts too. Excellent suit and not silly money and very comfortable too. Especially if you bin the armour and use Forcefield net upgrade armour instead. That stuff is excellent and level 2 aswell.

Any goretex jacket will get like that in those conditions. The pores can't "breathe" due to the external conditions so it's not the fact it was a klim jacket, it's that it was goretex. Any "breathable" material does that when in those conditions, there is no way around it apart from to wear a wicking top and have all the vents wide open, but even then it wont totally prevent it.

Well I find that at least the vents work on a Klim jacket because there isn`t a drop liner behind them, the vents under the arms are HUGE and when you get moving they flow a lot of air, unfortunately when it`s hot and humid and you are moving slowly you will boil in anything ;)
