Post by aronthomas17 »

Hey guys,

Blind bought a WR, as you do... anyway on my way to pick it up tomorrow and just wondering what they're like to ride...

Ridden alot of sports bikes and SM's before but this will be my first crosser bigger than a 125cc

Thanks in advance

Great trail bike. Did about 2500 miles on mine with no problems. Changed oil regulary and adjusted valve shims once.

Never had a problem starting even when hot. Mine had a hot start button (similar to a choke lever).

Gooooood, sounds like a fun little bike... never owned a kick starter before so dreading that part. Its more a second bike/toy thing though so shouldnt be too much of a problem.

Thanks for the replies anyways guys, all help is appreciated... do they have any known problems i shouold be looking out for?

They come from the factory very lean which makes starting difficult.

Correct jets and starting was fine for mine hot or cold....

No known problems that I know of but they do eventually go pop if thrashed mercilessly in supermoto mode, as would anything else.

like any other japaneese 400-450 enduro

a bit bulky, very sensitive carb, with various problems coming from that and the rest is maintenance.
