I just spotted this thread has apparently had 12,500 views. Someone tell Piaggio UK, maybe they'll start importing them again.

I have just got my hands on a Terra, brand new from IW motorcycles. It was the last one in stock there. Sad to hear that they are no longer importing them. But i've got mine so i'm happy :) . Does anyone know if i can get 'full powered' heated grips, (touring ones) or do i have to get the specific 125 low powered grips?
Cheers, Lammy

Hi. I have had my terra (normal version) and have had it from New for about 3 months.
It is good bike, but only yesterday, it did not want to start. It is all underwarrenty so the
dealer come to pick it up. I will be hearing back from the today about what it was. Other
than this I have had no other problems.

No. There's other known problems which largely stem from putting Mediterranean wiring in a British climate but usually nothing more annoying than a fluctuating speedometer.

There was a spate of rear wheel bearing problems with them failing at 2500-3000 miles but nothing has been reported on that front for months now. Maybe we've all just changed them for something non-Piaggio?

Be aware there are only 112 registered Terra Adventures in the UK so finding one can take time. There are more of the more road biased Terras and there's not a lot of difference bar the higher screen, burlier forks and 21 inch wheel.

We do have a facebook group, if you facebook. http://www.facebook.com/groups/derbi.terra.adventure.uk. A read through will give you an idea of issues, a chance to buy (although they're not often sold) and there's always the possibility that you might find someone nearby who'll meet for coffee and a chat.

As for the taller screen, as far as I am aware, one cam be purchased off of aj Sutton. But in my opinion, it is not needed as the shorter black screen does fine for the speeds that the bike can achieve. Hope this helps.
PS, apparently the issue with my bike was water in the petrol which is because of some issues recently with the petrol from the local area. Dodgy petrol, nothing to do with the terra.
