I often find pages hard to load, sometimes at all. Secret is not to stress, sending out an SOS on here is the wrong place, it's a chit chat bike forum, not mountain rescue. 5 mins later & all fine.

There is an issue though, not complain as I aint payin but worth the admin looking into

I would pay if it meant a more reliable platform!

Not complaining as I don't post that much but I do love the mag and would happily pay for a 2st c experience

Cheers

If you access via Tapatalk on a mobile device, then you can't read PM's or view pics or attachments hosted elsewhere like Photobucket

Well I can't ?

Well I'd happily pay at least a tenner per year to get a more reliable template and more bandwidth for the ABR Forum
Jonny you may be happy to pay, so might others, some not...... But shouting and going on about how crap the 'service' is will surely only wind other people up. It does go a bit slow, more so recently but as others have said, it's hardly a life n death situation is it? When I get the little spinney wheel of doom I either just wait or flick to another tab I've got open and look at that for a bit instead.

It may be of interest to the mods if we could do a vote/pol to see how many of us would be happy to stump up a tenner a year. If so, would we expect any more and what happens if it doesn't perform?

I'm reasonably happy with the cost vs service ratio but would also be happy to pay a tenner even if things stayed as they are.

All good stuff

It just is a bind when other 'free' forums I visit work ace & are run on generic php or Vbulletin software & this one running on some other template is really slow or unreliable

I wish abr was faster & as such would happily pay £10 per year to support an enhanced abr

Happy New year to all ABR's

Have you tried upgrading your ZX Spectrum with a 128k expansion pack?

I think I can predict the outcome... at present there are 1791 people using the site and only 143 have even bothered to register let alone pay. I'd guess that less than half the registered users would pay, it would probably cost more to administer...

The site does crash / freeze a lot. A lot more than other forums I use that are also 'free' - well free to the user, if not the administrator.

Alun has said before, it's not the bandwidth or capacity, apparently the server is in Germany and more than big enough but something causes a bottleneck, he was getting someone to look into it recently I believe.
