Re: Ride out 8th december
Looking forward to it. Eric, can you have your phone on in case I cant see you guys in settle?
Maybe a bit wet and windy but not cold. I`ll have my winter layers on anyway and I`ve got new toasty grips fitted.
Just got in from downstairs- cleaned chain, tightened and oiled. Packed tool-bag. Checked oil and gave a squirt of acf here and there.
Now having a whiskey and coke for tomorrows fuel

Re: Ride out 8th december
Oh yeah, something to add....
Last sunday I lost the body of my Blackburn mountain bike pump on the rocky section of Rivington track (north end of Georges Lane). I`ve had it for 9 years and although it was grumpy at times, it`s never failed to inflate a tyre at the side of the road. I would feel awful going trailriding without an airpump so picked up a new pump from halfords. I bought the one Specialone has recommended in another current thread (thanks, specialone). Dual action, multivalve, valve lock, pressure guage, ally body and all that. Fits nicley in the tool-bag. Halfords are having a sale on pumps ending tomorrow if anyones interested.
cheers,
chris
