After careful consideration (aided by a few spreadsheets), I'm no longer able to make this trip. For me, to cover 1900 miles one-way and have a Bulgarian holiday within a 2 week holiday is not feasible. The fuel cost also has a major influence.

However, in case my circumstances change (ie., being made redundant) or if someone volunteers to take my trail bike in a van, I will keep track of the thread :)

That's a shame Elle. I'm also concerned about the feasibility of doing the trip in 3 or 4 days without it becoming an endurance exercise. However, I'm prepared to trust those who have made the journey in the past. If they're happy to repeat the experience I assume it must be doable and enjoyable!

Hi Martin/Mark

I am keen to come and as I am retired dates/length of stay all fine.
I have registered on the Facebook page (i think, bit unsure of Facebook)
As I understand it there is no pressure on camping so I can leave booking
till well into next year when maybe I can firm up routes/riding plans etc

Looking forward to seeing you Crofty.

Just "winterized" the house here today as cold weather is on its way to Bulgaria during the coming weeks (can go as low as minus 30c in deep winter). Plenty of wood in the woodshed and chopping like mad to keep the fire burning.

Summer though..... nice and warm (thumbs)
