Suzuki Dr250s 1993 rear shock problem PLEASE HELP
Hello I'm new here and really hoping you guys can help I got a Suzuki DR250s 1993 model and basically the rear shock has made it fail an MOT so I need a new one or a rebuild of current one either way I'm stuck!
Was wondering if the dr350 shock fits?
Also it has that stupid knob on the handle bars for ride height I'm thinking of removing that and just setting the rear shock manually any problems doing this?
Please advise
Many thanks
John

There are loads of companies that can rebuild shocks...providing the original shock has been designed to be rebuildable.
Google motorcycle suspension specialists and have a talk to some of them.

Hi ,it's possible to replace the original shock with the 350 one and dump the seat height adjustment control they never worked to well more of a gimmick than anything else .

Is it any year 350 shock that will go in phil? Also was thinking about putting more modern front forks and a more modern rear shock on? Any suggestions? And I, guessing as long as the measure the same as parts they are replacing should go straight on?

Yep any year on the spring and all ive done is heavier oil in the front forks , then again mines a jap import with usd forks as standard.
The 250 is exactly the same bike as the 350 with just a smaller top end

Re: Suzuki Dr250s 1993 rear shock problem PLEASE HELP
Hi, after tearing apart my dr350 and doing a full rebuild, I found the rear shock had been replaced with a DR250 one. I replaced it again with another DR350 and there was no difference in size that I could see.
Pity I gave it away otherwise I would have sent it to you! DR350 rear shocks are coming up often on ebay though.
