Riding through Switzerland
Hello. Iwas wondering if anyone has any ideas whether I should put back on the original can on my transalp. I plan to do afew passes in Switzerland. I have a leo vince street legal can fitted. I heard the Swiss fuzz are a bit hot on aftermarket cans even though if they are street legal. Any ideas....

I think as long as you don't draw attention to yourself you would be ok, I wouldn't change it personally.

Thanks mate...its no louder than the original to be honest...its just I don't fancy a fine, yet I don't fancy the hassle of changing it....I do have a certificate that came with the can to show it is street legal. I was wondering what the exact law was....

We rode from one side of Switzerland to the other a few weeks ago and only one of the 4 bikes had a standard exhaust on it. No hassle from any one, let alone the Feds!

I've ben to Switzerland a few times on Bandit 12's and Gsx1400's all with non standard fitment cans and never had a problem,i was however stopped for speeding and given an on the spot fine,after the nice officer showed me the incriminating video in his unmarked BMW he took my money 
,once he finished with playing bad cop he then went into the glove box and pulled a map out, "have you been to Switzerland before" he asked, no I replied " I show you ",we got out and he opened the map on the bonnet,"Ok,you must do zis road zis road zis und zis road(four passes),but be careful,zair vill be motorcycle police mit radar......ok...you can go now,enjoy your holiday" :huh: :huh: ,enjoy I did,i love Switzerland,just a tad expensive though

As above...don't speed and if youre on the autobahn get a vignette. We were pulled and joined 30 odd bikes in a lay by . Very efficient process obviously, as we had our documents, vignettes and spoke politely we (S1000rr with Akrapovic /RSVR with Akrapovic) were waved on. Met some of the others at the next petrol stop......£440 fines....speeding 5kmh and no vignettes.
