Bike trailer

I am looking to get a trailer to carry my BMW f650gs was wondering what people recommend?

Buy the best you can afford.

I'd avoid anything with 8" wheels and if you buy a 2 bike trailer make sure you can change it so that if you're only carrying one it's sat in the middle rather than putting all the weight on one side. Apart from that it's worth buying one with a spare wheel because you'll need it one day and also try to get one with fixed lights so you don't have to mess about with a lighting board but make sure they're protected or you'll break one and only realise when you go to use it next.

Guess who learned the hard way about all these points?

also buy proper lorry straps. had 500kg straps snapping, lucky the speed was low.

We use an Erde CH751
Ok it's not cheap,(About £650 in the UK)
but you can easily take the rails off and use it as a general purpose trailer.

I use a Phoenix two bike trailer - done loads of trips ot the South Of France with two big bikes & no issues.

I've got a motolug single trailer.
It dismantles, folds up and fits in the boot of the car, but it's still strong enough to carry a GS.

Mine has done thousands of k's and it's still in good condition, nothing has ever failed, except the mud guards, which are a bit flimsy but easily fixed with a bit of gaffer tape.

I would recommend this if you need something that can be stored easily but still has a good sturdy construction.

I use one of these on a flat bed trailer.
