Hi Codcutter
There are basically two ways ...
Use a 3rd party website like photobucket , or if you have your own website.
Copy the *location code* and when posting here , click the *image link* icon which is above the smilies , a box opens up .. paste the code into the box and hit insert.
Tip: you can have a live preview of your post by clicking 1 of the *preview panes* (above whistling smilie)
Or
Attach your photo to the post (if you do this the picture would need resizing) as it does not like huge picture file sizes.
Use the attachments (below the message box) click *add file*
Navigate to the picture saved on your computer , and select it.
Select where on the message you want the picture (click the mouse in message box)
now click the *insert* button
Last step is to hit the *Submit* button
Note when adding attachments depending on the size of the file can take some time to upload .

If your post appears with no picture but has the file name and attachment tags around it, then this usually means that the picture file size is to 2 large .
Personally I use photobucket which resizes automatically and you can link to any forum and not have to upload each time .
hope this helps .

Re: Test your photo downloads here.
I use flickr and this has a built in tool to share using HTML or BBCode. This forum uses BBCode, so that's a bonus.
It also means that if use this option and host your images on flickr, photobucket etc. the files aren't stored on the servers hard disks for the forum . Less space taken by pics does mean less chance of the site crashing due to insufficient space and the costs usually involved with traffic bandwidth
Another reason I store really high resolution images on the remote servers is that by clicking on my images you can go off and marvel at the full size jobbies in all their multi-mega-pixel glory... or not, depending on your tastes
