Re: Kawasaki W800
I'm seriously thinking about one of these for my first big bike. I love some of the customs...

My first big bike was a w650 and I loved it. It was a joy to ride. I even took it light off roading in croatia. Can't reomend this bike highly enough. I still miss it 3 years after selling it.

Not convinced by that screen, but each to their own. I do like the bikini fairing thing though, but I wouldn't buy one from Kawasaki, they want £430 for it when you can buy something almost exactly the same for under £100 from after market suppliers. You can buy full-fairings for sportsbikes cheaper than that!
Saying that though, I haven't noticed any appreciable difference in weather protection on the W800 than I did on the faired bandit I had, but that may be down to my lovely jacket. I have noticed that there is much less wind noise though, now it's not all being directed at my noggin.

Re: Kawasaki W800
Test rode the 650 and loved it bu ultimately bought a Bonne and that was the dogs doo das. I got the W800 out for a short while fore a test ride. To be honest I hated it, I was so disapointed because I really wanted to like this bike. It felt unstable, lumpy low down, shite brakes and very uncomfortable. I could not wait to get back and cut the test ride time early, I was gutted as the 650 was a wee gem but I would stay clear of the 800.
Whats around the next corner?
