I like the bigger bike feel and the comfortable seat, in fact there's nothing I'd change. I know that makes me sound like a broken record, and given how much I post about them I'm beginning to think Derbi should pay me commission, but I've yet to meet anyone who hasn't loved it when they tried it.

There is a forum, but you'll need to speak Spanish sadly, I'll dig out the address if you'd like it. If you're going to Ripley I hope to be there, you can try it.
Freeloader, if your bike has been stolen I've just seen a pic of Charlie Boorman sat on it on facebook. :silly:

Hello from Hampshire,
I am new to this but a pround owner of a Derbi Terra Adenture which I have done more than 2000 miles on in the the 2.5 months that I have had it and have got to say it's a great littel bike.

I was looking to put some paniers on it but can not find a rack system for it, as there was some chatter on these I wondered, did any one get any luck with this?

Hi Tim, whereabouts in Hampshire? I'm a displaced Hampshire-boy myself.

Racks and panniers, it's the Derbi owner's eternal question, ever since the bike was first launched complete with Touratech panniers (specially bodged on just for the bike show) people have been asking "how do I put luggage on?" The internet is full of people asking the same thing (usually in Spanish). The simple answer is, no-one has been sensible enough to make a specific luggage rack.

A few people have modified existing racks, there's a guy called Fernando Retor, a long-distance Derbi rider who has some tweaked Givi racks, and a bunch of Singaporean owners who have tweaked SW-Motech, that's the hard luggage option.

The second, cheaper, easier option is soft luggage. The only problem then is melting it on the high exhaust (oh and pinging yourself with bungee cords. I went for that, got myself a cheap set of Cameron Barker roll top bags

Hi,
I thought as much as I a had looked on the internet but could not find anything more than some images of bikes fitted with paniers. I have looked at how this can be achieved and if the existing rear rack is replaced with a tubular rack it would be possible to provide the top mounting points, the pillian footrest and frame could then be used for the attachments of stays (simular to BMW GS).
Having sketched this up I was going to see how much it would cost to get made and thought that if there were enough that it might be cost effective; have you any idear of numbers?

I was brought up in a small village called Wickham where. We had an old disused railway where from an early age we rode our bikes. I now live in Hedge End which is a dormatory town.
