From Dale (yddraig) on f650.co.uk

After the fun we had on the wrong side of the border, anyone who fancies a 90 mile ride around the valleys on Sunday 2nd December is welcome-Gives you a chance to try out all the shiny new gear from the NEC show!

It will be slow goers only, around 10 miles in total of farm roads , no knobblies needed - more gravel than dakar style

If we can meet at 10 am in Abergavenny bus station next to the bikers cafe as some people are travelling a fair way

Cheers

Amended Garmin GPX route attached. The one posted previously was converted from a Google KML file and contained over 800 via points. I have found that the Garmin Zumo 660 cannot handle that many via points. This updated route fixes that issue.

Is it 125cc compatible?

I could post it on few other forums if that's OK?

As mentioned before the last ride out:

With regard to promoting it on other forums, just bear in mind that the common theme with our merry little band of bikers is Adventure bikes so as long as the forums are so orientated then it's fine by me. It's already on F650.co.uk and UKGSer.com.

As far as being 125 compatible, of the six bikes that turned out for the last jolly, my F650GS was one of the two smallest. We had 2 x F650GS, 1 x F800GS, 2 x R1150GS and a R1200GS Rallye. While we profess to being bimblers , on occasion the bigger beemers are prone to opening up a bit and us guys on the F650s really have to push it to keep up. Though these spurts are rare It's your call on whether you want to give it a go. I'm sure the guys will take it easy if they see you struggling.
That said, as most of this ride will be on small lanes, I don't think speed will be an issue.

As I said, as this ride out will be mostly green/narrow lanes, speed won't be an issue. Just be prepared to get very dirty

Bump for Sunday. Really looking forward to this one. First ride-out on the new bike and by the looks of it Dale has mapped out some cracking lanes and tracks. With a little luck the rain forecast for Sunday won't set in until late afternoon.

Well that was fun! What a brilliant day. Dale's route was brilliant and the bits of offroad were good fun and just the right amount. Then some nice lovely winding roads, lanes and great views.

Dale was quite tired though, so he had a lie down early on.

Dale then wanted to show us he could really ride without stabilisers
