as you were accelerating the weight was off the front. the white lines are raised and its the rapid repeating of the raised lines that can set off a front wobble. its cos the suspension on most bikes is fairly poor and cheap or just not set up as it should. that is of course if somehitng else mentioned above is not faulty like worn bearings etc.

Other thing that springs to mind is tyre choice.
You know better than anybody what your dominant type of riding is, riding surface etc..
But unless you've got a green-laning habit to feed every weekend, it would be
worth your while looking for a high silica content compound...
According to the reviews, the Top of the Pops within the "sports Touring" hoops are currently:
Michelin PilotRoad 3
Dunlop RoadSmart
Bridgestone BT-023 (check the number, I think it's the 023..)
With Metzeler and Avon bringing up the rear with similar compounds.
Now, your hoops are bigger than my usual faire, so I'm out of my field of expertise to some degree,
but you can easily find out what's available in your sizes; and failing that, find
out which of the 'adventure' tyres have a high silica content/good wet grip...
..... I'd be surprised if the Tourances weren't still near the top of their respective "charts"...
That might be clear as mud, but I'm long overdue for bed :laugh:
PS: you can often save some money, without sacrificing too much tech, if you
don't mind going back 'one generation' in technology.... eg the PilotRoad2s are
still very good... if no longer 'cutting edge'

I had a tank slapper about two months ago. It came out of the blue for no reason. don,t know what caused it and i checked the bike out after and it was fine. I have not had any trouble with it sense. Bloody scary, i had no control over it what so ever. All I could do was hang on and hope it sorted its self, which it did, damn strange

Had an F650GS from new before my current bike, and never had any hint of a problem. Have to go with some of the others on this one - check the tyres etc and work back from there.
I imagine that it is a very different ride to your previous one so maybe it will take some adjustment - take it easy and safe.

Always check that the light at the end of the tunnel is not on a truck coming towards you.........

you might have caught a groove or channel in the road and your wheels rode along it for a second, that can throw the bike out of whack and into a thank slapper.

that must be it, bull. I could find no problem with the bike and i was not speeding
