Looks good John.. Didn't know you had a white tenere. Every time I've seen it it's been a funny sort of muck colour. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

im bloody confused the bar end weights in your pick aren't the ones on their site? And on yours have you got the normal plastic windshields and then you've added your ouwn extension? (as the offical storm plastics are replacements and not add ons)

Also, ive just noticed for 85 beans you dont get the plastic bit hmy:

oh...and while im here and asking so many (dumb) questions....here's another - is that handlebar bag A ) waterproof? B ) any good?

just looked on their site (link above) and it loks as per mine. the extra plastic bit was bought from them too and is an official part.

bag is from hein gericke and while its not really waterproof its very handy for holding the following: two small lightweight cable locks for locking out helmets, tyre pressure guage, anti fog spray, visor cleaning thingy and a cloth in a plastic bag. also came in hand for holding the credit card on the frence toll roads recently too.

Go with Bark busters mate – but if, like me, you still feel there are too many vibes getting through (the barkbusters weights aren't as heavy as the stock Ten weights) then do what I did and drill, and tap the ends of the existing weights to take an 8mm bolt. Worked like a charm

so basically its £85 for the ally backbone then you have to buy the plastic wind sheilds at either £18 or £26 for the larger one. So your paying at least £103 :unsure: plus you could pimp them more with £35 bar end weights and £12.50 skid plates...expensive game this dropping ya bike lark.

I didnt realise until doing this research that the Touratech ones were plastic, i suppose the idea is that the plastic absorbs shock better? (or there cheaper to make )

nope is just the plastic you have to buy extra it come with a weight. not very heavy but it does come with one.

i'd opte for the 'storm' handshield if i was you as they cover more. mine were a xmas gift so they cam with the smaller covers.

plastic guards are only good for keep cold air off your hands. you can't tighten them up enough to stop twisting round in a fall.

i've used Cycra on the 450exc and they are build like a tank so might be worth a look but they are also pricy. its worth spending on decent gear as cheap handguards are nothing but a pain in the butt. i had acerbis on my ktm before and they were always getting bent and the fitting brackets bent and broke.
