Watch out if your subscription was a present!

Quick warning in case this affects anyone else.

I've been patiently (!) waiting for the arrival of Issue 9, as have a subscription. When it still hadn't arrived yesterday I dropped the Lucy an email and she told me that because it had been bought as a present, by my lovely missus, it was only a 1-year subscription and wouldn't automatically renew. It ran out after issue 8.

So, I've resubscribed and ordered an issue 9 online. B)

But be warned, if someone buys you a subscription for ABR, after a year you'll need to renew it yourself!

I miscounted how many issues I had received and made a new subscription, only to discover two copies of issue 9 arrived at the door. i overlapped.
Would a short note or email telling subscribers when their subscription runs out solve these problems? Surely it wouldnt be to hard to set up.
i must admit i get them sent to my brother's house in England, he sends them onto me so havent received the last few issues in hand.

so if anyone needs a copy of issue 9 ive got one spare!

I subscribed myself but can`t remember when and don`t know when the subscription runs out! Can`t see a way to check this on the site so can we have an email reminder please

If its going spare I'll take it please I've just bought the 8th edition with the Morocco special and I'm well impressed, come payday I am going to subscribe.
