I know it's a bit American to say, and we British tend to shy away from such things being stiff upper lip and all that, but I'd just like to say thanks to all of you for what you did/do for the country and its people :)

a-ha, it all starts to make sense now ... ;) Only kidding, top stuff.

Don't s'pose being an Air Cadet fits into this at all - nah we just played at the pretend easy stuff - No offence meant and don't want to dish the good hard sharp end where you lot were (or are).

Found these great quotes on the arrse website:

The Lord gave each Troop a SSgt so that he might be asked all things incomprehensible to Troopie. Troopie is there to:

A] Sign leave passes.

B] Sign for the G1098 store [this function does not entitle him to check the contents BEFORE signing].

C]. Receive pats on the back from the OC.

A Troop Commander is like a Labrador puppy; enthusiastic, energetic, fun and loved by all. But someone needs to follow them around and clean their sh!t up.

and :

"Don't buy a telly or a car save all your money and PVR" - The most common graffitti found in British Army watchtowers, sangers, stagging on posts and sentry boxes!
