Has Spring sprung,or is this normal?

Post by mark1150 »

I saw this today, and wondered if it's normal for the time of year?
Rape seed or whatever it's called starting to flower.

I've also noticed domestic flowers starting come through....
So has spring sprung?

Thanks for the reply which reminded me, there were loads of low flying birds out as well; I can only assume that they are feeding, which means the insects are out and about also.

I've seen daffodils and snow drops at the roadside up here in Morayshire, certainly seems the springs come early.

The bees are out in the lovely east Anglian countryside too ( I discovered this earlier today when I had an almighty clunk on my visor ).
I have also noticed an increase in general bug splat which can only mean that 'spring has sprung' :) now roll on summer...

2 daisys and a dandelion on the front lawn yesterday. Climate has gone bonkers, last winter the coldest since like, forever, and the experts reckon this winter is gonna be the warmest for 350 years.

With me and my garden it was the same... somehow the flowers seemed to bloom in January and I thought well "kind of weird but great since I am having a party I could use some floral decoration"... one week later. Snow -.- and I was like "damn you!" and all of the flowers were ruined. Frozen to death. And I had to order flower decoration from a florist for the party. Planet is playing a weird winter's game this year. And I was actually happy that winter seemed to be over so soon and the warmth will be back again way earlier than ever before. Ha ha. Funny. I lost this bet.^^
