Re: ccm gp 450 happy day

Hi P4ulie,I ride my ccm 90% of the time with my wife on the back.It rides fine except the pillion foot pegs are set at a height for a 5 year old. On long rides I have to stop to let her stretch her legs often. I will be cutting the pillion peg hoops and adding 3 inches to drop them down. She also ...

Re: CCM GP450 REAR SHOCK

Did my shock today. Sorry my mistake, the shock comes out the bottom not the top.

Took the bottom linkage off, raised the rear wheel and the shock just ploped out. 5 minutes in the vice adjusting the alloy ring. I had to do the whole process a couple of times to get it right.
Shock is adjusted to ...

Re: CCM GP450 REAR SHOCK

Re: CCM GP450 REAR SHOCK

Hi thanks for the reply, the grub screw was missing when I finally got the ring round enough to see in the hole. The bike is on a stand with the wheels in the air but the ring is fairly solid. I am trying to get the last inch of adjustment on the threads. There is not enough room to use the tool ...

CCM GP450 REAR SHOCK

Hi everyone, is there any ccm owners out there that can tell me how to adjust the SAG on the gp450 with the shock in situ. I have tried and tried and all I'm doing is messing the alloy ring up. The only way I can see,is to remove the sub-frame,remove the rear tank and then remove the whole shock to ...

Hi, just looked at local dealer price £3899. At £2499 I would be very interested in one for my wife.

Re: What would you do? What can I do?

Hi everyone, time for a bit of an update.
Finally got my bike last Tuesday, road 120 miles home from Perth, with my better half on her bike. No dramas just takes a bit of getting used to. My other bike is a V Strom 650XT, very smooth, eats up the miles, very comfortable BUT I find VERY TOP HEAVY ...

Re: What would you do? What can I do?

Hi everyone,
Tuesday and D day has definitely arrived.
Firstly thanks to everyone for your replies, it was interesting to see people's different points of view.
I rang this morning and spoke to John. I first asked about the warranty and as it is newer than the demo bikes they had, (18 months old ...
