took a risk with standard rear spring, but with new TT extreme, would be a breeze.

Re: BMW F800 GS
I've done a lot of off roading on this, and can say that with the right modifications I'd take my 800 anywhere. Best upgrade I think, is a top end suspension, together with front progressive springs. Ive changed the front sprocket also, to improve clutch control whilst off road.

Re: BMW F800 GS
I agree 1200's a great bike and good for a pillion, but 800 is manageable anywhere and everywhere, can't wait until June to get to Portugal for North to South Trans Portugal. Could ride all day on this machine.

Re: F800GS Stuff.
Had 2's on for the road. Might have a look at those Mitas, I must say the front wobble running the TKC's does put me off somewhat !
Just as a matter of interest does anyone know the chain specs for 2012, 800 gs ( size, links ect) I'd like to get hold of a couple of spare links?

Re: F800GS Stuff.
My anakee's do just fine on tracks and trails, but prefer the TCK 80's for the rough stuff.. No fun riding through France though to get there.
