Re: Recommend me a campsite in Betws-y-Coed

Y Giler Arms at Pentrefoelas is a pub with campsite, restaurant and B&B just off the main A5 about 5 miles from Betws Y Coed.

Bit of a gamble as I'm taking it away with me camping in the Balkans next week with only thermal underwear as a back-up!
Some people I know are on a Balkans tour at the moment, it's in the low 30's so don't get a chill! :D :D :D

Re: Duck down sleeping bags at Aldi. Any good?

I've tried one on a few trips this year. It's not warm enough to even describe it as a two season bag and I don't normally feel the cold. It also looks like I've been strangling chickens during the night.

Re: Linked brake's

The test is the same as for normal bikes, so the front brake lever is used to test the front brake and the pedal to test the rear.

Re: Trip suggestions for Europe.

Get to Wurzburg and head south on the Romantic Route then pick up the German Alpine Road east to Berchtesgaden. Then into Austria off motorway down to Klagenfurt via the Nockalm Strasse, over the Loibl Pass into Slovenia then west via the Vrisic and Predl Passes into Italy.
