Exciting news from Yamaha as the Ténéré 700 receives a face-lift for 2020. The Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally Edition features a gorgeous colour-scheme, harking back to the era of 80s Dakar Rally bikes, as well as some additional features to make the capable mid-weight adventure bike even better in the rough stuff.
The Ténéré 700 was undoubtedly one of the stand out successes of 2019 following its UK release at the Adventure Bike Rider festival in July, and you can read our review from its launch here. The Rally Edition features an eye-catching colour-scheme that follows the trend of retro-styling we’ve seen from other manufacturers in the market, and boy is it a beauty.
The updates aren’t just skin deep though. The Rally Edition features a new, formidable bash plate, radiator guard and a chain guard to make this bike ready for some gnarly off-roading. It also features a throaty Akrapovič slip-on exhaust, LED indicators and special gripper pads for the inner thigh and knee to aid control while standing on the pegs.
The seat height has also been raised by 20mm, now up to 895mm, a clear indication that this is a bike built for serious off-road riding.
Check out the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally Edition in action below, it’ll be hitting dealerships from July and we can’t wait to see it in the flesh.
