Watch now: 2025 Honda Transalp review

The ABR review of the 2025 Honda Transalp is now live to watch on YouTube – check it out here.

Only two years after its resurrection from Honda’s back catalogue, the Transalp has undergone a facelift and received updates to address some of the issues that we found took away from what is a cracking midweight adventure bike.

And full credit to Honda, after riding the new Transalp at the international press launch in Portugal, I came away feeling that the bike had been elevated to another level.

It was already an accomplished and versatile adventure bike, and it’s only got better.

However, are the changes quite enough to make me fall in love with the bike and consider buying one?

Be sure to watch my video review below to find out how the new Transalp performs on and off-road in Portugal and most importantly, if should you spend your hard-earned money on one.

I spent over 6 months riding the 2023 version for some 6,000 miles in the UK, and although I found plenty to love, there were a few issues I had with the bike. So, before I tested the 2025 Transalp, there were a number of questions in my mind. That included whether Honda had improved the suspension, which I had previously found made the bike’s handling vague when fully loaded with luggage or while pinning it hard around corners on rough roads. It also didn’t help the bike’s off-road ability, either.

But Honda has tweaked the suspension for 2025, and I have to say, it’s made a world of difference. The bike has suddenly become a whole lot more sporty and fun to ride.

However, there are still a few issues that I think might make or break your decision to buy one. And with so much competition in the midweight adventure bike market, every little feature can make a big difference.

So, how does Honda’s new Transalp perform? And should you consider adding one to your garage? Watch the video to find out…
