The jacket has a drop-out Tri phase liner which features a Gore-Tex-like waterproof outer and a breathable spacer-mesh type lining.
There is SAS-TEC protective armour in the elbows and shoulders which is CE approved to meet EN 1621-2. This is soft and pliable, so comfortable when worn. There is a pocket to add the optional back protector if you desire.
The Jacket ventilation comes from 2 zipped chest vents with magnetic snaps for quick use, large arm vents and 2 good sized back vents, so cooling air will be able to pass through.
Adjustment of the fit is provided via points on the arms, waist, collar, hem and sleeve cuffs to get it just right for your body shape.
Pockets are in abundance on the front of the jacket; however they only state that the inner wallet one is waterproof, so don’t go sticking your phone in them if it’s raining. The 2 large lower patch pockets have flap and snap fasteners but a nice touch is hand warmer recesses in the side which have a thin fleece backing. The chest pockets are large too and have mesh lining for a bit more ventilation, and then there are 2 smaller ones with weather resistant zip closures. So there are lots of places to stow things away.
There is reflective detailing on the chest, sleeves and back for added safety. Our test jacket came in light grey and has already started to look grubby but there is a darker option if you prefer.
Jacket can be found at www.scott-sports.com and is priced at RRP £349.95
