Honda launch Africa Twin virtual reality app

Honda Africa Twin app

Honda has launched a new virtual reality app which allows you to take a close up look of the CRF1000L Africa Twin from the screen of your smartphone.

The app makes use of some nifty CGI, 3D modelling and augmented reality to allow you to use your smartphone to get a close up view of the Africa Twin (both DCT and ABS) in the four colour ways available worldwide.

You can then use your phone’s camera to place the virtual Africa Twin anywhere you want, be it in your garage while you wait for your real one to arrive, your lounge, on your head, on the M25 etc.

It’s worth noting that, as the app is available across Europe, out of the four viewable colours (Victory Red, Tricolour, Ballistic Black, and Digital Silver) just the Victory Red and Tricolour are available in the UK, and while you can view the non-ABS model, this also isn’t available in the UK.

While the app may seem like a bit of a gimmick at first, it is being utilised at Honda dealerships across Europe to demonstrate the various versions and colour schemes of the new Africa Twin.

The app is available for devices that run either iOS or Android operating systems and can be found by following the links below or searching ‘Africa Twin’ in the relevant app store.
