“Once we started searching actively, films came to the surface that were absolutely mind-blowing. We were amazed that adventures of this quality, old and new, were essentially unknown by the public.”
Among the films on offer are Cycles South, 1971, billed as the most un-PC road movie ever made, andThe Rugged Road, 1935, the incredible story of English women, Theresa Wallach and Florence Blenkiron who made the first ever motorcycle trip from London to Cape Town. Festival goers will also be able to take part in various film-making workshops, including how to direct and edit their own travel films.
The festival will take place 3-5 June 2011 at Knapp House, north Devon. Tickets are on sale, click here.
