Auxiliary Lights on your Motorbike - Do you use your? If so when?

Morning one and all. Now a days, mostly all new cars and now some motorcycles come out the factory fitted with auxiliary driving lights. I have a set on my Stelvio. For obvious safety reasons, I like to make myself a visible as possible on the road whether its morning, noon or night and so like to ride with these units on like many a car on the road. However other motorists dont seem to like it. Regardless of the time of day and direction of traffic in front of me, if they are coming towards me they flash and point and if in front cars are flashing their rear fog lights at me  I've checked the positioning of the lamps and they are straight and true, not aiming up into anyones direct vision and so not dazzling anyone, whats everyones problem? Anybody else experience this or have any advise or feedback please?

Only really use mine when riding at night as the standard headlight on the S10 is bright enough to make people aware of my prescence. Do get flashed alot though as they think the dipped beam is full beam. As ripper said, just give them a wave and carry on on your way. At least they seen you.

Hello
Great picture.
I keep my aux lights on all the time on my GSA.
I did get flashed at a few times, but since adjusting them it doesn't seem to cause
anyone a problem now. Just the odd one at night.
Just try re-adjusting them again.

That other drivers don't appear to like it is a move in the right direction for you. It suggests you have achieved your status of being noticed.
There are many drivers who simply can't accept to see change or something different on the roads. Personally I don't have a problem with front fogs on a car and yet I have seen other drivers behaving quite aggressively to this sort of thing. Fog lamps don't dazzle other drivers, least not the factory in-built ones, because they are not designed to illuminate the road hundreds of metres ahead. They are simply there to light the area in front of the car at a low angle of beam. If you have more lights than someone else you can almost guarantee it will upset them. When you don't have them on and a driver pulls out in front then the IS claim usually states something like "didn't see him - he came from nowhere..."
The only thing I would make certain of is that they are not constantly flicking about with vibration , because that IS annoying from my pov!
Otherwise it's a case of damned if you do , damned if you don't.

As said, if they're flashing you they can see you. :cheer:
I only use mine for certain light conditions, that'll be most of the time then.

I get flashed in the day without mine on(KTM 990) so i just reply by putting the fogs on & hitting the high beam that soon stops them!!

I run my LED DRL's all the time. I have used them for the last year and have only had 1 or 2 people flash, I normally just wave back. I dont know if they make that much of a difference with the myopic car drivers on the commute to work, however some of the guys I rode with say you can see my a mile away.
