air hawk or been bag.

Post by Gaffer64 »

Hi guys,

I have a 2008 bmw650gs/twin and although I have had the seat remodelled with memory foam and a gel pad it is still uncomfortable. I am considering an air hawk cushion or I came across a site selling a bean bag style cushion. Any tips greatly appreciated.

cheers

Mike G.

I've never tried a bean bag, but would highly recommend the Air Hawk. I've used one on some long trips with day after day in the saddle and it was brilliant, just don't overfill or it'll be like riding on a lilo!

I have had several 18hr, 24hr and 30hr+ stints on a bike with an Airhawk - could not do without one ion this type of ride

Always feel comfortable and can ride till sleep gets in the way, the roads or fuel runs out

I also use an airhawk seat pad and I have a lower back injury. I find it very helpful and comfortable on long rides but do not over inflate it though.

That'll be Tony Archer probably, I had my 8gs seat done by him and it was better than stock but still not great. Gel pad was about 1.5" thick.

These have been suggested on the vstrom forum, as low cost alternatives worth a try:
