My cooking options for camping

This is the set up I intend to be using on trips of longer duration this season. It is a trangia and kelly kettle combination which gives up to 3 heat sources while boiling 1L of water at the same time.

i have looked at them very much like a Russian Samovar, does it come with pan supports aswell or is that extra ??

I had a setup like that. The kettle packed up OK but the 200 mile extension cable was a b****r to fit in.

kelly kettle ok, trangia ok. both are pretty much as simple as your gonna get.
i use a trangia 29 with gas burner. im a reheater not a cooker, (except for bacon & eggs in the morning, thats compulsory!) boiling 1/2 litre of water is the sum of it, put a tin or pouch in the water as it heats, then got enough clean hot water for noodles or rice and a hot drink.

You can get pan supports but (in the real world) its virtually impossible to get enough twigs down the chimney if you have a pan on top. You have to feed it more often than a steam engine, just not worth the hassle. They are also utterly useless when there is no wind. Plus they need to put on rock or gravel or a hard surface, never grass or leaf matter etc as they leave a mark and / or set fire to things. They are a useful thing if you are in the wilderness (there there is combustible material) and don't have access to meths, gas or other fuel.

I am currently trying to upload my first video showing how I use a mini trangia in combination with the kelly kettle and normal trangia to improve the flexibility but am struggling abit. In brief I use a trangia burner in the kettle fire pit or solid fuel blocks/fire when using the trangia in it's own mini support. the video will show it better.
